Pumas strike lucky at the end. Remain top of group 2.

The road to the Elite Eight in Mexico for Pumas is getting closer and closer. Our winning streak is still active, and no other team in Group 2 has an answer for Pumas.

A very low crowd at CU (perhaps in spring break) showed up to see a lucky pumas scrape away a win 3-1 in the last seconds of the game. Chelis side was threatening the first few minutes and was rewarded with a Dulio Davino header in the 6th minute. Villapando would have a horrendous day today in CU and in a cross would spit the ball right into the feet of Martin Bravo who would level it for Pumas in the 40th.

The rest of the game would simply be luck. They say luck doesn’t exist in football, but many including Pikolin Palacios would disagree with that. The referee would give a red card to Sergio Perez correctly and would leave Pumas with the upper hand. Pikolin , like in almost every game, almost had his ass sent off too. His childish behavior is getting pretty repetitive in every game. Pablo Barrera’s inclusion in the game would revolutionize our attack.

A shot from outside the 25 yard box was mildly deflected, leaving Villapando with no chance giving us the edge in the 92nd minute. Then, super sub and old man Palencia gave all the Kiss fans something to cheer about when he scored in the play right after. 3-1 final score. Doesn’t reflect one bit how the game really was. You couldn’t help but feel sorry for Chelis’ team today. A win is a win though. At the end of the game these were the words from Pikolin Palacios

“Puebla did everything they could, the just simply had no luck”

when asked about his childish behavior

“It’s an aspect i should fix, i assume i shouldn’t be having those kind of actitudes, i was wrong. That same moment i said sorry to the referee for my actions.”

I think you’ll get to the Liguilla. So much for group 2 being the group of death…
