Friendly vs Monterrey

By: Albert | July 14th, 2008

Laying the smackdown on Suazo and comapny in a recent friendly. Ok, just exagerating a bit. Pumas did beat Monterrey in Monterrey 1-0, with a goal from Francisco Palencia.

Sure it was a penalty, but a win is a win.

The Panamenian, Baloy, committed the foul in the area. So Pumas with a positive result, giving some hope to the team. Now we just need to see some good performances from the new foreigners and from Cacho.

It was an odd match wasn’t it. I know only a friendly but tactical experiments were so extensive it was hard to get a read on it and I also think fitness levels left a lot to be desired. Did you notice that Monterrey looked to be slipping into a 3-4-1-2?
